Hi, this gun was given to me by my grandfather and I was looking for some information on its production numbers etc. It has the Swaztika stamped on the side by the manufacturing stamp and no safety both I have not seen duplicated on other mausers of the same model yet. any information I could get would be great. ser#602176

Jay,

You had better thank your Grandfather. It appears to be a highly desirable Kiegsmarine (Navy) issue 1934 Mauser. The safety is the small lever/button to the rear of the trigger. Push down on the lever to set it, and push the button to release it.
The Eagle over Swaztika M is the Navy acceptance mark. Good close up photos would help a lot to verify.
