I have a 1917 DWM Artillery. With no serial numbers on the grips. These grips appear to have been on the pistol for some time. I tried using some replacement grips but they did not fit. Which is a first.
I'm a member of the San Luis Obispo Arms Society. And had a few experience Luger collectors look at my 1917. They think the grips are original to the pistol. Or period field replacement grips. The German war machine was in a jam. During this time period. So anything is possible. The finish on this 1917 Artillery is not as nice as you would expect on earlier DWM's. Thanks for the replys.
