Picked up this FN 1922 Saturday at a local show for $300.
.32 ACP, SN 37886 on the 3 major parts I can see (have not had the chance to take apart further, yet).
Just looking for more info on it. Not super knowledgeable about these pistols but the price based on observations on GB, gunboards, etc. seemed too good to pass up.
Jps-s and Rescue, thank you for the info! Do you have any idea when it was made post-war, or is that not easy to determine? I have read in places that the serial numbering was a bit all over the place post-war.
Thanks Anthony. Seeing as there are no import markings on it, any idea how it got back stateside? Were these pistols popular as private purchase items for Americans stationed in Europe during the Cold War? I see that many many European police departments, governments, and militaries adopted it through the years.
The US did not require import markings until 1968. Other countries did require export markings prior to that.
John
