Hi,

Can someone help me about this rifle please? It's a Mauser rifle for hunt with waffenamt stamp.

Is it a period made rifle or after war modified?

Price range? Thanks a lot.

I once owned a rifle similar to the one pictured. Your weapon was done post war. Likely for occupation troops! Sorry, can't help with a price.

+1. The eagle isn't a waffenamt it is part of nitrocellulose proof mark and the antler represents the Ulm proof house. The antler marking wasn't introduced until the early '50's so your rifle was made after that. A nice find with the scope and case.

"4 eme Bureau: Transports, ravitaillement, infrastructures"

That is Transportation, Refuelling, re supplying and infrastructures in an Army corps

2nd Bureau, for example, is Intelligence Service.

The proof mark appears to be IAW the 1952 proof laws. That places it from 1952 onward.

Thanks a lot for all answer.
For jps I know it's not the correct place for this rifle but it's the best place I've find on this forum to insert it. Luft survival rifle is a hunting rifle. I think that III Reich hunting rifle can find their place here. Sorry if not. Thanks again to all.
