* Yes; it is a "W" suffix; but, didn't it appear on the 1939-42 Code Lugers? Medium or large sE/63!
* Trying to keep my scorecard straight. Always interested in learning new facts though.

Bob, the W-Block of the 1939 Code 42 Lugers had straight "W" markings, not the "NV" (at least mine do). The "NV" marks were on the 1937 S/42.

Speaking of the W-Block of the 1939 Lugers; it was the transition between the SE/63L and SE/655. So in that block you can find Waffenamt Marks of SE/63L & SE/63L, SE/63L & SE/655 and SE/655 & SE/655!
