Found this beauty with a P-38 stuffed in it yesterday. I know very little about HP stuff. I assume it is a Karl Barth but couldn't find an acceptance stamp. Who would have gotten a tan holster like this and can somebody give me an idea of value ???? Appreciate any thoughts and comments.

The WaA markings usually show up on the little flap near the Mfg and date markings. A few show up on the rear of tghe holster to the heft of the belt loop. Another place is on the inside of the flap.

If the three letter production code reads dta (it looks like either that or dla), then it was made by A. Waldhausen, Inh. M. Bruchmann, Sattler u. Kofferfabrik, Köln in Germany.

If you can't find the acceptance stamp on the outside,....look under the flap about 1-1 1/2 in. to the left of the leather disc covering the inside of the stud. It is fairly hard to read there, but It is in that spot on three of my HP Holsters!! I'm sur someone else has already mentioned this.
