Figure 5. The holster is stamped M. ZOTZ / SATTLER / 12 / AWM /16 /12. The M. ZOTZ / SATTLER / 12 is a manufacturers hallmark dated 1912 and the AWM /16 /12 signifies: Artillery Workshop Munchen 1912. The second maker stamp was likely applied to indicate subcontractor work.

Figure 6. Faintly stamped in the back of the holster flap is 17.J.R.. This signifies 17 th Infantry Regiment, which matched the 17th Infantry Regiment mark on the front strap of the Luger.
