This holster was purchased with a 1921/1920 police pistol. the photo shows it next to a 1915 (right). It has an intrigal rod pouch next to the mag pouch. It has been extensively armorer repaired. I sent it to Jerry Burney for a hands on look. He is of the belief that the repairs are of a period nature(Early). Note how shallow the opening is compared to the 1915. The pistol almost virtually disappears when fully inserted. Any idea of when it could have been made?

The only visible mark is a circle with the letter B or R on the flap to the right of the strap. Thanks! Ron

What you apparently have is a model 1906 commercial holster. These holsters were designed to have a slot on the outside, by the mag holder for the cleaning rod. It was made to hold a Luger with a 4 3/4" barrel. Your buckle was replaced with a military style one. The closure stap has also been replaced, as it was originally stiched to the flap. The belt loops are not afixed to this holster correctly.

Joe, Thanks! That's what I wanted to know. The Era it is from. We have already determined that it was either repaired or converted, probably during the Weimar period for Police or Military use. As it contained a 1921/1920 Police rework.

I agree with the Finn connection too. Check out the round mark on the flap and see if you can convince yourself there is a "bear" or "reindeer" in the circle.
