is anyone able to tell me which sort of Holster the soldier is wearing? Could it be a Radom Pistol?

Maybe a Modified Russian holster for the Tokorev TT33 ?

I am almost positive the holster is for the Belgian HiPower (P-35) pistol. This is because you can see that the spare magazine is a very thick double column type and the holster flap customarily folds itself around the magazine pocket. It is an almost exclusive feature found in this holster.

I think it is a tokarev modified for german use, I have a old one in my collection that is similar to that shown in picture!

It is a TT33 holster with a considerable safety.
Take the extreme breadth of the magazine pouch into account.
This is typical of a TT33 magazine.
