I hope you folks can help me. Years ago I bought a Mauser HSc from a friend of mine and have never been able to find out much about it.
The left side is marked Mauser-Werke A.G. Oberndorf a.N.
Mod. HSc Kal 7,65 mm
There is also what appears to be a bird with the number 155 under it where the trigger guard attaches to the grip. There is a smaller version of the bird on the other side of the trigger guard with the letter N under it. The S/N is 852XXX.
Any idea when it was made or if it could be WW II issue?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
The number you are seeing is not 155, but 135, indicating your pistol was accepted for army use. it is considered to be variation IV, and I would guess it was made in 1943.
