I am in the market for my first Luger and have found a 1936 S/42, all matching numbers with what looks as original blueing. How do I tell if it has been imported? Where do you look for the import marks? Thanks, George Beaudion, Sgt. USMC 1975-1981

usually you'll see an importer name and city/state stamped somewhere on the frame or barrel... it'll be obvious that it's an import stamp and not a proof mark of some sort.
