I purchased this on eBay from a seller in Argentina. It lacks the DRGM marking. The modification to the belt loop and the addition of two brass studs on the back of the holster look to be professionally done a long time ago. My only guess is that this modification was done for compatibility with a belt that had corresponding holes for the studs. There is a very faint remnant of a “Walther” ink stamp if viewed in just the right lighting. The seller advertised it as being for a PP, but I haven’t tested anything in it yet.

I appreciate any insight that forum members can provide about this holster.

I agree that the work was done professionally, a long time ago and worn in that configuration for its life of use. IMO it is clear that the two brass studs and the long strip with the two corresponding vertical slots above the studs was added to accommodate a shoulder strap or actually a cross strap.
