JERRY BURNEY’S (LUGERHOLSTERREPAIR) WORK

I recently had Jerry Burney (lugerholsterrepair) repair a holster for me. He is highly recommended and I was not disappointed.

Figure 1. The 1911 dated holster as it arrived complete with 1916 dated unit marked Luger (R.J.R.30./3.M.G.K./34.), Imperial tool, and extra magazine. I wanted to keep the rig together but the holster was in two pieces and in poor condition.

Figure 3. This is the holster after Jerry Burney repaired it. The photographs speak for themselves.

Figure 5. After Jerry Burney’s repair. I was pleased that the Luger, holster, tool, and extra magazine (that had probably been together since the end of World War I) would now stay together. Now you know why Jerry is highly recommended.

Ed, Thanks very much. I really enjoy what I do even though it is highly detailed and time consuming. You get a real sense of accomplishment when you can put something back together like Jan's rig.

Sure do like the new site, I am glad it's back up and running. I missed it...Jerry Burney

Jerry's craft can not be over estimated. I have, what I believe to be, a very rare soft shelled pebbled variant of an LP08 holster. I sent it to Jerry for minor restoration. We consulted and decided that matching or similar pebbled leather would be best. All was put on hold until I located a magnificent light brown pebbled map case in Germany. I bought it and sent it to Jerry. He sent the holster and map case, sans straps, back...maginifcent! Anybody with a similar challenge, email me and I'll share some of my overhead with you.

Jerry's work is that of a prior age of master craftsmen. Seldom today do we encounter someone who takes such pride and care in his chosen work. My hat is off to you Jerry. Many thanks for saving my 1917 Artillery holster.Anyone considering having holster work done cannot go wrong by contacting Jerry.

Frank, George and Bill, Thank you all for your kind words, I appreciate it more than words can express. I have had the extreme pleasure of having your holsters in my hands and sent them back better than they arrived. It is nice to know you are pleased....Thanks my friends, Jerry Burney
