In case its useful information, I have a "Franken-luger" the top half is '41 byf and the lower half is from a "K" date #4651. The side plate is marked with a gothic S, the rest of the parts are marked with a script S. The grips are marked with the serial # only.

I just inherited 40+ lugers that were in my father's collection until 1999, where they were willed to fellow member genHR, who died in October. He has passed them on to me. In the group is a K-date luger. Here is the information requested:
1) 1855 (no letter suffix)
2) O/37 O/37
3) B
4) B
5) B
6) n/a

This pistol has a sear safety.

hello Joop
I would like to update you on K date #3069 that you have on your survey.
I have just acquired the above pistol and after a very close examination with a 10 power magnification loop in the sun lite.

the following proof marks was observed.
on the r/h/s a scrip s under it 037 and next to it another 037 in a box or rail.

when I acquired the weapon it had another magazine in it. I acquired another magazine that I believe is correct. I also has a scrip s under it has the #2294
and under it has the same proof mark 037 in a box or rail.
sir I am a very novice luger collector with a few.
I am not trying to be smart to you with this observation, but thought you would like to know this update.
thank you for your time.
I also enjoyed reading this survey you have done a great job and I realize you have put a lot of work into it. thank you.
retcop.

K-Date to Report

SN 2219.
Ã
–|37-Ö|37; Mixed scriptic and gothic, scriptic in code.
KM EM(3) above left grip, 0.1975 on front strap. The magazine is KM property marked, but it is NOT a K-date mag - looks like it would go with one of the late 1938-1940 period KM Lugers (N.2234 7390r)

Is there is a list (in .pdf maybe?) of the K date serial numbers?

Today I observed K date, #5898. Poor reblue, some replaced small parts, Two small Russian "x" on sideplate, S-90, S-91. Scriptic S on toggle and trigger guard. Likely replacement grips.
