I saw three types of Lahti holsters at a show Saturday.
Can anyone identify them,
re. Finn, Swede, Dane ???
re. military, police ???
re. War-time, post-war ???

1. An orange brown holster with a Crown over HV ?

2. A darker brown holster with a three prong crown, below a jagged line with three dots ?

3. A black holster (did not look for markings). ?

JTV,
Can you post a photo of the whole rear of the Finn holster,
and of any other markings the holster might have ?

JTV,
Not certain, but I think I have received some conflicting info re.
Series 4 L35.
Did the series 4 have a stock attachment lug ?
Thanks

CPW, JTV:
CPW, are you certain that #1 is Dane ?
Seems that the HV would indicate Husqvarna and would thus be Swede.
Thanks

There doesn't seem to any other (obvious) markings. Finnish L-35 holsters seem to be brown leather, which sometimes have been painted green. The belt attachment loops vary, this one in my pictures is early version of Finnish holster. It also had additional strap closer to point of the holster (for attaching shoulder stock to holster), but this additional strap has been cut off from this particular holster (you can see where it was, as the place where it was is more worn and the remaining part is peeping between ending).

No stock attachment lug in series 4 (only production series without it).

Other than the shape of the crown, the marking is the same as that on my Danish 1946 Hi-Power.

HV = Haerens Vabenarsenal for the army

But it could also be Norwegian as in that country --- HV = Heim Vernet for the Norwegian Home Guard.

A image of the holster might help.

(The crown you describ has points, while the one on the Danish Hi-Power is rounded.)
