Just took delivery of a very interestng Erfurt, a late-war gun with chamber date 1917/18 (see "Imperial Lugers", p.78). Its in pretty good shape, has lots of interesting markings and characteristics.

I intend to profile it on the Forum, will probably not be able to get to it for a couple of weeks, but had to brag on it for just a minute.

Wow Dwight!! Jan's Imperial Lugers, on page 78, states that the one pictured, is the ONLY one reported to date. Looks like you've dug up a gem. Two weeks can pass slowly. Looking forward to the pictures and your usual learned description.
