Dear Experts,

I have narrowed down the unit that had the rusty trommel I think.

Does anyone have any information about III Batallion, 32nd reserve infantry regiment, companies 9,10,11 or 12 ?? I think they were in the Second Army.

These guys were in the right place at the right time at the end of 1916.

Any help would be greatly appreciated ! Thank you.

Unfortunately I am not at home where my copy resides, but Jan Still has recommended a good book on German military unit history. If no one else has the exact title, I will reply again next week when I am home and supply the exact title, publisher, etc. I found my copy at a book store in England through an Internet search.

During I WW the 32 R.J.R was part of the 22.R.D and the 113.I.D. The regiment fought at western front VERDUN. If you need more info send me please a mail ( [email protected] ). Regards from Germany
