Lug On Backstrap.....

1527 Views 3 Replies 3 Participants Last post by  Doubs
Hello all. My 1937/S42 Luger has a lug (for shoulder stock ?) on the back of the grip. Is this a standard manufacturing procedure ? Or were only some Lugers fitted with this shoulder stock lug ?

Thanks for your input.

I believe that I am correct when I say this, that all lugers since 1914 have had a stock lug and only the ones[ ? ] without are the uncommon ones.
Okay Huggie...thanks. I'm sure you're correct.

IIRC, the directive to include the stock lug was issued in August, 1913. Some 1913 Lugers have the lug, others don't, depending upon when in that year they were made.
