Gentlemen,

I found this Beretta 1935 on an auction site for "shorter money", no one wanted to bid on it. I think most folks think these guns must be military marked to be collectable.

OK? What makes this pistol so rare?

It is a blank slide gun and the Menchini/Tavianni books has serial numbers in this range for the Italian Navy and Military. Many of the commercial guns were exported for sale to foreign countries at that time, SA marked guns have been reported in the serial number range 49500-507000 according to Dave Franchi's research.
