Friends:
I purchased this M23 SA DWM PO8 from a dealer who represented it to me as a rebarreled parts pistol: He said, “Please take it off my hands.”
The Condition is good.
I can find no dates anywhere. The receiver has no date.
The DWM toggle has the number 29.
The side plate has the number 5.
The magazine has no SA mark.
The magazine has the number 2134 “X’ed” out with the number 2 above it and the number “01” changed to “09.” If one reads this upside down, “10” becomes “60.”
The aluminum magazine bottom has a hollow pin from one side to the other.
The “Crown N” proof appears beside the SA and in the grip-well below the receiver.
The barrel is a Tikkakoski replacement in 9mm caliber.
The Century Arms Import marks appear on the bottom in two lines:
P-08 GER 9MM PARA
CAI ST A VT
I take this as one of the 1920 DWM PO8's purchased for the Finnish M23.
I know nothing more about this pistol. Please educate me.
Quigley

Quigley, yes the M-08 Luger that you have found is typical of the Finnish M23's that were rebarreled. These were rebarreled to 9mm both before and after the wars. Your pistol has the typical Finnish "Improved" front sight and also a set of Finnish black plastic replacement grips. Nice find.
