Walther started production of the Model 4 in 1910 and ceased production at about the Wars end. Military procurement probably started during 1915 and ended in 1918. Twenty four Model 4 Walthers are reported with the German crown/scriptic letter acceptance stamp in the 50628 to 158860 serial range. Military procurement may have reached 75,000.
