Stamped on the right side of the side are these letters:

"D.R.P.u.A.P."

Otherwise unremarkable - has wooden grips. Can anyone tell me what these letter stand for?

D.R.P. u. A.P. means Deutsches Reichspatent und Ausländische Patente, German Imperial Patent and Foreign Patents

The D.R.P.u A.P. was applied to Mauser's during the 1930's. I suspect your pistol is a Model 1914/34 or a Model 1934, rather than a Model 1914.
