Saw the photos by Huggiebear of vz24 holster posted 2/16. I have a holster with my 1928 vz24 very much like his. Can anyone shed light on the ink stamped markings on the inside of the cover (flap)?
1. There is a small vert. rectangle with four digits: 193X (can't make out the fourth number.
2. Next to it are four unenclosed numbers similar to the ones on his holster: 2206
3. Below and to the left is a large rectangle with three large (1/2 inch) characters: H.1.A.
Any info. much appreciated.

I have not been able to figure out the unenclosed number next to the date in a box. I have only ever seen one number that was ever the same. These must be some sort of contract or vendor number. I am assuming that they are contract numbers as I would think that if they were vendor numbers that we would see much more repition. the 193X in a box is a date of acceptance.

More marks appeared last night:

The underside of the holster cover had a white substance over much of it. It is waxy, like soap. When rubbed with a dry tissue, it cleared and the date 1937 became clear. As I rubbed to the left of the date, what should appear but a lion rampant? (I love doing this stuff)
In the upper left three lines of letters appeared: First line is `Frant. Sedlacek' (I'm not 100% sure of the L); second line is tiny and illegible; third line is `Trebomyslice' (or Tred). I suspect this is the maker and his town.
Is there such a place in the Czech Republic? Any Czech forum members out there?
