Stefan,

427433 is the highest Crown/U I have recorded and I am sure you know how special a Eagle/N is. It is surprising how many are nickel plated. Thank you for posting and congratulations!

Hi,

I am new to this Forum. I have a question regarding Mauser M1910 with serial number 387925. What is the date of production of this pistol?

If you answer, could you provide me with source of information. I need it to cite in footnote.

I tried to find AutoMag magazine but I was unable to do that since I am from Serbia.

Hello and Welcome to the forum,

If by M1910 you are referring to a Mauser .25 caliber (6.35 mm) the date of manufacture would be 1932. AutoMag is the monthly news letter of the National Automatic Pistol Collectors Association, NAPCA. To find out more about NAPCA you can visit their web site at http://napca.net/about/ourmission.aspx . This information was derived from research by a former NAPCA member, John LaCroix who's research was published in AutoMag articles. The data he used was reported to of originated from August Weiss, a Mauser employee and provided to LaCroix by Wolfgang Seel. You could also cite this forum as part of the source.

Hello!
I'm writing from Portugal. I have recently inherited some guns from the WWI and WW2 Era from my grandfather who was a general in the Portuguese Army. Amongst them, there is a Mauser 1910/34 with MAUSER-WERKE A.G.OBERNDORF A.N. in slide address.
The serial number is 491224.
I would like to know more about this little gun, and also know where can I find a grip to try to preserve this one that already shows signs of wear.
Also as you can see the Mauser in the side as some marks, some small dents and wear scratches that I don't know the origin but would love to know how to remove them.
Best regards from Portugal

First, let me welcome you to the forum. Your .32 caliber Mauser pocket model is a 1914/34 transitional variation. The 1910 is used to describe .25 caliber variations where 1914 is used to define .32 caliber variations. Grips can be found on Ebay.com and GunBroker.com from time to time. The "small dents and wear scratches" you describe are pitting from rust which cannot be reversed. It is possible to have a professional restore the pistol though the cost would far exceed its value. 1914mauser,

Little late to the party however;
Serial number in milled slot on left of slide. SN is 425439.
Finish hot dip blue, no nitrate blue on small parts.
Curved plastic grips with Mauser banner and 10 vertical lines.
Proof is a lazy C/U forward on the slide.
Cal. 6.35-D.R.P.u.A.P. on right of slide.
MAUSER-WERKE A.G. OBERNDORF A.N. is slanted on left of slide.
MAUSER banner on side plate has 5 vertical lines.
Magazine has 9 holes on left side, Mauser banner on floor plate has 5 vertical lines.
No "GERMANY" anywhere on pistol.

Hi! I’m new to the forum. I just picked up this Model 1910 from a gun show. From the info I could gather on my particular handgun; it is Austrian police marked and has a Vienna proof. If you would like to elaborate on the exact date of manufacture or offer any more info, please feel free to do so.
