I posted this in the 1900-1918 forum in error. Lloyd has already given me some info. from Bender's book.
I have a Mauser 1934 Scandinavian contract. Does anyone know which country they were made for? Year(s) of production? Also, why do most 1934s, if not all. Have the Ser# stamped in a milled recess? Mine is stamped flush on the slide(no recess), as most 1914s are. Did they use pre-numbered slides, and milled them to remove the number in order to re-stamp new #s? Any info appreciated!!

Thanks! Ron
