I am new to this board but would like some information on collecting the Mauser Hsc Navy and the Mauser 1934 Navy. My father brought back from Norway after the war one of each. The Hsc is a double proofed Navy with the eagle M on the front strap and the left trigger guard.(serial#778146) The 1934 has the eagle M proof on the right side of frame only.(serial#587744) Both have Navy proofed holsters. If anyone could tell me how rare these are in excellent conditon or how difficult these are to find,I would appreciate it. I would like to start a collection of these pistols only, as I have a great starting set.

Your book “AXIS PISTOLS” should arrive at the end of this week or early next week. It describes in word and picture the variations of Kriegsmarine Mauser 1914/34, 1934, and Hsc on page 162-176. There are several KM variations described on this Forum in the section AXIS PISTOLS, German Manufacture. Do a search. Click on the link below for a start.

Jan thanks for your reply. Do you have any pictures of the HSC KM in your book with variations on the proof markings. I can't wait to get your book. Collecting these KM will be difficult but very fun. Thanks again. Bob
