Can anyone identify the year this was made, I brought it home today from a little old lady from Italy who told me her father-in-law picked this up off the battlefield in Italy near Alessandria. Help identify year,please and more info on it as well,thanks

Derek,

Looks like a postwar (WWI) commercial 1910 model. But I can't tell for sure. What is the caliber? 6.35mm (.25) caliber? Is it marked Germany? What are the other markings? Does it say Mauser-6.35 on the right side flat? Should have a Crown U proof. More detailed clear pictures would help.
