Jan,

I have two Steyr Hahns marked as follows

1) 8631Y

Left side: Steyr 1919 on rear of slide, Eagle over N and 0 in triangle above trigger. 08 marking on middle of slide. Czech lion on lower trigger web

Right side: W E 19 over stamped with S lion 6, RCS next to Eagle L

Unit marked 1P 301 over peened out previous unit mark on laynard loop

Standard K inspectors marks

2) 1917+

Left side: there is no Steyr and date on this slide. Has the 08 mark. Slide is marked with serial number 1917

Right side: W E 19 over stamped with S lion 4, RCS next to Eagle L

unit marked LGK.S.T. 776 on laynard loop

Standard K inspectors marks except on Slide near hammer and forward of safety which has C inspector marks

Interestingly all this Steyrs were made after end of WW1.and probably ordered by czechoslovaks, later was all probably found in depot and reworked to 08 calibre for german police, LGK ST? could be Landes gendarmerie Komando SuedTirol or a town? on lanyard loop were in majority a austrian units stamp, the 1P is czechoslovak. best regards,Andy
