Hi guys,

I've got a 38, S/42 that is all matching including mag. Pic is below. The pistol itself doesn't have the greatest finish (understatement) probably about 60-70% blueing left and appears someone tried to add a bit of cold blueing at one time. I couldn't afford anything in better shape.
Guess my question is, I also have a Haenel marked mag, pic below, I don't have any P08 books as a resource, could I pretend in my feeble mind, that these Haenel mags are appropriate as a spare for my S/42?? The Haenel mag is in unissued shape, with no serial number. Any info on these mags are greatly appreciated.
If the mag is worth anything to anybody and you have a 3744 marked mag, wanna trade??
Also I am told that the lanyards were Portugese manufacture, is that correct?
Thanks guys, and sorry for the pics soooo big.

Brad, if you post the pictures on this forum, then they don't appear as large until someone clicks on them.

Also, I don't remember seeing another mag marked as a police C that was blank?

Is this mag then correct for the age of my P08?
Any info on the lanyard?

Ed, "when all else fails, read the instructions" so I read the tutorial. I am having a hard time keeping the pics under 300K but will try harder for future pics.

Koldt, I have heard these lanyards referred to as Portugese and as Swiss. In my opinion and that of some others, they are German made. Probably Imperial period. Where did yours come from?

Koldt, the problem is that the newer digital cameras take such large, although nice pictures. But for viewing on a computer screen, they don't need to be huge.

Here is your frist picture, as you try to "enlarge" it, i.e. blow it up, then the smaller resolution shows...

Oh, I see, well, making the pictures all together is nice, but also greatly increases photo size;

For many computers, they are set up so when it is this large (i.e. tall), the latest Internet Explorer will require you to "click" and enlarge the photo to no longer fit the screen.
If you show the photos one at a time will enable you to make them smaller, yet have plenty of detail.

Pictures done seperatly will look like this;
