from bigbill again;
byf on top strap, 41 top front of receiver; serial number 1592 stylized p under serial number ; all exposed numbers match last two digits 92., clip shows fxo or fxq, hard to see with small eagle with number 37 directly under the eagle.
any help would be appreciated.

This gun has been re-barreled. All Navy guns were manufactured by DWM; byf is a W.W.II Mauser code. It is not a navy. Sorry to be the bearer of bad tidings.

Thanks for your reply. Being new to lugers, i mistakenly thought this was a navy luger because of the 6" barrel. I checked it out and it is a 6" mauser luger, all numbers matching, except for the clip. bigbill
