A lot of times folks will present their guns as chromed, and they were really nickle plated - a very common practice for GIs and their bringbacks.

But this one is really CHROMED!!!!!! Most blindingly.

Well, a good chrome job is better than a bad chrome job. Sure the collector value is diminished, but enjoy it. My first WWII Beretta M1934 was nicely nickeled and otherwise in excellent condition. The GI that brought it back thought he was improving it with the nickel finish. I like it for what it is and enjoy shooting like I hate it.

While not as nice pictured as OP gun, here is it's brother. Note that the Mag Catch and swivel were included plating too.

The surface in that picture looks rougher than it actually is. And btw, it is nickel plated.
