Well, a good chrome job is better than a bad chrome job. Sure the collector value is diminished, but enjoy it. My first WWII Beretta M1934 was nicely nickeled and otherwise in excellent condition. The GI that brought it back thought he was improving it with the nickel finish. I like it for what it is and enjoy shooting like I hate it.
