My First PPK

This mag is correct for this particular pistol. One of the last "banner only" mags. It does have sort of a parked finish. This is the last variation before they went to the model with caliber m/m stamp which happened around 1940. Not an easy mag to find to be honest as they were made for relatively short time. I have a bunch of original pre-1945 PPK magazines and only one that would be correct for the OP's pistol. It does have a flat bottom plate and has exactly the same finish. Most "banner only" magazines you find out there are blued.

I think the price was OK . $1600. yes it has the loaded chamber indicator
Not a bad price assuming that the slide has a matching number and decocker works. Yeah, it's hard to find one without the LCI this late into the production run. Pre-'41 short tang PPKs are my favorite... Get a post-War two-piece grips, if you intend to shoot it, the original grip is fragile and can crack easily, these things are pretty snappy when it comes to the recoil...

You might as well fess up and tell us the damage done to your wallet on this one...:) I'd say '39-'40ish. Very nice indeed. Original and correct mag too... This is the cutest hand slicer ever made, I just love them, short tang and all. Does it have a signalstift or somehow you got lucky?
