Hi James,

In the photo showing the rear toggle link with the toggle pin hole...is the hole partially counter-sunk with a recessed lip where the larger flange on the toggle pin seats in ?

Yes the hole is countersunk to facilitate the flange on the pin

Hello Lugerlou,

I'm curious about the grips. Are they Walnut or Beech ??. I'm asking because I've seen some 1917 dated DWMs ( 4 inch ) with Beech grips and I wonder if some sets could have found their way on the Navy pistols of that year.......

I think the photo you posted is as nice and clear as I have seen...to help distiguish this unique feature of the 1916 and 1917 Navy luger.

I have saved it to my Luger jpeg library...
