I just got this from a friend of the family to identify, i know its a luger but i dont know which or where it was made or when, can you guys help me figure it out??
It was made by DWM, not sure what year, probaly around WWI. It had a sear safety added for police work. I am sure other members will add much more information.
It's been refinished, and all originally strawed parts are blued. The chamber date may have been removed. If it shoots well, it's probably worth in the neighborhood of $800.
I can't make out the first inspector's mark on the right side of the receiver, but the double Crown/S would place this DWM in late production between 1916-1918.
