Need with Magazine ID

1234 Views 3 Replies 3 Participants Last post by  Luke
Just bought an Imperial Luger with an excellent magazine, but the wood bottom has been notched and has an unusual suffix. The suffix appears to be an upper case "T" but I thought only lower case was used for this purpose. Can anyone identify?

Thanks,
Luke

You are correct, only lower case letters were used as the suffix on serial numbers.

Hi Luke
In "world of Lugers" by Costanzo page 361 it looks like a script letter ( R ) suffix.
Hope this helps
Thank you, Ed.

I believe you are correct. The deep strike of this letter seems to have distorted it, but I am pretty sure that it is a lower case "r" as you suggest.

Regards,
Luke
