Hello all,
I am new to Luger collecting and was wondering if anyone could reccomend any good ways of doing research on lugers, Like books, manuals and good dealers who wont rip me off. I am open to any suggestions. Also does anyone know of someone looking to sell a World War II Luger?

Thanks for your help!

Welcome to the forum!

Hello "blade" to be a member here, you need to have a real name posted on the profile? I believe it states that on the membership page and if you could add your name to the profile, we'd apprecaite it.

The most important thing is to buy books and study them. One of the best is Third Reich Lugers by Jan Still and available from him. There are other books on lugers, the most important thing is to find out where and what you want to collect. Do you want a shooter, a collector piece, what?

Study this forum, there are hundreds of pages just on nazi era guns, to include lugers.

Thanks for the reply, I did not know about the name thing. My name is Randy. Is that book easy to find or is it rare? I am more looking for a collector piece from the World War II era. I am a huge History Buff and really want to get started in collecting Lugers. I am looking for any help people can give.

Thanks Again!

Lugers are interesting, lots of WW1 pieces that served in WW2 too.

I looked into the book Third Reich lugers and found it on amazon.com for $125.00, I also found a book called Third Reich lugers price guide for $4.00 on IDSA Books Both are By:Jan Still. Are these the same Books or What? Also can I get them from Jan himself and if so how?

Thanks for the help Ed!
