Hi guys this is my first Luger and was wondering what kind of info you all may have on this.
I don't have it in hand yet so it may be a few days before I can take pics of my own of it but I do have the serial number and auction description of it:

Gun retains 90% finish with some possible touchups. All markings are legible. Excellent grips show some wear. Fine bore is a little dirty but should clean. Excellent working order. All original. Gun is matching aside from the magazine which is a correct WWII aluminum bottom Nazi marked mag and the toggle pin. Not import marked. Serial number is 6359b
here is a pic:

Pony, good to see you here!

It looks so far like a nice gun, although "touch-ups can be a bad thing in luger collecting.

Non-matching magazines is the norm, rather than the exception.

Additional information will help us a lot, in helping you, such as year, markings on toggle, then when you get it, acceptances and proof markings.

PPR,
* Welcome.
* This was OB1's wasn't it? Likely a Code "42" which was the wartime code assigned to Mauser Oberndorf in 1939 & 1940. The Army deactivated the code S/42 for Mauser in early 1939.
* Suggest you browse or search the New Collector's & Third Reich Lugers Forums. That is if you haven't memorized each thread already. Helpful info.
* Happiness is a new pistol & a first Luger makes it "icing on the cake".
* Don't forget to tell us about the magazine too. Might be a magic number for one of us.
