Hi Guys,
I am definitely not a new collector, but a friend of mine gave me a call and said that he has a NICKEL .32 cal. 37M. He swears that the finish is original.....I have severe doubts, not being able to find a listing anywhere. I told him it was probably a GI bring back that was nickled/chromed. He told me that there was a small spot on the slide where the finish was peeling and that the metal underneath was white. I was pretty sure that before nickel/chrome plating the surface was copper plated. Anyway, has anyone heard of a nickel plated ORIGINAL 37 M. Since I haven't seen it, I can't tell whether it is chrome?

It also sounds very doubtful to me. I once had a dealer
tell me that his nickel plated Beretta 1934 / 1935 was
all original and was a 'rare naval issued' version. I do
see many other guns presented as factory nickel finish
that have looked terribly suspicious to my old eyes.
