Newbie question: Just now looking at "Legacy Collectibles" and saw a "1937 S/42 Mauser Luger - 2nd Variation (non-straw small parts)" variant for sale. Other than a Norwegian arsenal refinish (with non-straw parts), what would distinguish my 1936 S/42 from any other "2nd Variation"?
...just asking.

Hi Carl. Not sure I completely understand your question, but I can take a stab at answering. Your 1936 luger - if original finish would have straw color small parts (yellow). All lugers in 1936 had the straw part - trigger, take down lever and safety lever. In 1937, they continued for a few months with straw parts (variation 1) and then switched over to all blued parts (variation 2) I assume to speed up production. So the one on the site has all blued parts, but original finish. Hope that helps.
