Finnish Army traded 74000 Italian Carcano rifles and 2334 LMGs to 76115 Sten Mk II and IIIs. The deal was made with Interarmco. This happened in 1957-58. All guns were re-blued and new sling attachment loops were added. During 1960ies and 1970ies STENs were used in training. After that they have not been used actively in large numbers.
