Need info and value on a friends P.38. One of those "wish that hadn't happened guns. Gun was stored for 20 years in the holster. Gun was bought at a garage sale in the 70's. Since it was rusted and pitted the new owner had it bead blasted. Cyq , serial number is 1046 with and "0" off to the side. Black grips. Great shooter, wear to the working parts is minimal, like it was not shot much. Question is, when was it made, how much is it worth in its present condition ?

This pistol is only of use as a shooter and would probably not bring any more than $200. The grips appear to be in decent shape, and they could be worth $75 or so. Too bad this pistol has been so badly mistreated.

Was one of two, the other is a French MLE 1935 A pistol. Vet's wife didn't like guns, these sat in a barn in their holsters for the better part of 20 years. Finally sold them at a garage sale. Wish they had been stored differently.
