Could I ask the group a question about my P.38 ( byf44 # 3084 Eagle L )? It has recent import markings on the backstrap, just above the grips "NHM. CO / SACCA / 9MM GERMAN C". I was told these guns were held in storage by the Russians and sold to importers a few years ago. Any help is appreciated.

I believe I answered your question on the P38Forum?

It is an import via Ed Faust in Sacramento.. Probably from the Ukraine but possibly from Yugoslavia, too.

A few, also, were imported about 20 years ago from Norway. Any of these could have had the NHM importer stamp.
