at local gunshop. Original condition all steel. P38 ac over 42 SN# 9835c..all matching. Stamped Wa359 in a few places. Nice tight action and shiny bore with no pitting or frosting. Grips are whole. There is a B41 stamped on trigger guard..is this an indication of Austrian post war police? The mag has a Wa but I cannot make out the small number , also stamped JVD P38U. The other P38's in my area are the ones with the alloy frames or have a French star on the slide..the alloy framed versions are nice shooters at $249...the ac42 is priced at $399 and has much more appeal. Is this a reasonable price to pay? Thanks, ConeTen

Are you sure it is not stamped BH?

As a shooter $399.00 is a good price. Don't forget to change the recoil guide springs with a set from Wolfe if you intend to shoot the gun.
