As many exhibits and gun shows that I have attended, I have never seen a Walther 7----anyone have a picture of one? It looks like an intriguing design and must be quite rare!

I don't have a picture to show you, but a Walther Model 7 looks just like a Model 4 except that the ejection port is on the right side!! Since it is a 7.65 cal, it also looks like a baby model 6 which was big and in 9mm cal. A good book for you to get would be "German Pistols and Revolvers 1871 to 1945 by Ian Hogg". There is a picture in there along with disassembly instructions.

Fritz--thanks for the great pictures. I especially appreciated the comparison shot between the the two models....didn't realize the M4 was significantly smaller.

What I think you mean't to say is that the Model 7 is significantly smaller than the model 4. In Fritz's last picture, the M7 is the top gun. Regards,
