Ok, I know this is going to be a question that has a simple answer but I'm curious. In most of the gun auction sites I've visited, there are always handguns with the proof marks in white as well as the Ser. #'s. Have they been enhanced for the pictures are is this how they looked originally ? Showing my ignorance now right ?

Frank........ Actually that's a good question that comes up quite often. You were correct when you figured it was something that the current owners do mainly to enhance for easier identification. The only place where it came painted white from the factory is the GESICHERT under the safety lever.
