I have a model 1906 altered Navy Luger, serial #7128a. It is has a 6" barrel. Marked on the rear grip strap: II.T.D.2541. This number was placed over a previous unit mark of : W.W.?792.

This Luger according to the vet's widow, was picked up at the end of WW II, at a German naval base. Her hisband was a junior US Naval officer. The weapon came in a proper Imperial navy holster, that was unfortunatly cut down to allow eaiser access to the gun. This "modification" remove the date & manufacturer's marks.
