A buddy just acquired a Luger with this PT383 on the front grip strap..It reads from botton to top.

I don't have any more info on the gun but have requested it!

Can anyone ID it?

Hi Orv, According to Görtz. PT is the mark for "Treptow a.d. Rega police school" Probably weapon #383. Hope this helps.

I just ran across this thread while searching for more data for my database of Weimar police unit marks. I would be very interested in knowing if there are any periods in this mark as well as the following information on the pistol, if you can get it from your buddy: toggle logo, full s/n, and whether the pistol has/had sear or mag safeties. Thanks very much.

I have Luger marked L.Hi. 112. DWM Toggel, WaA66 on slide, Deactivated Mag safety, Sear Safety.
