"Imperial Lugers" does report 1916 DWMs with the suffix "q" which would suggest the "o" simply was not found within the limited database of 72 units that provided the information for the book.

I note that you listed the last two of a three digit serial number indicating that it was early in the "o" block. Possibly you have a fairly uncommon Luger.

Sorry if you misunderstood mee. The gun has a two digit serialnumber, the entire serialnumber is 72 o. Here i Norway, we use the sign "#" when we mean "serialnumber".
