Trying to get info on a rework luger. It could be ww2 or postwar rework so feel free to move post if I'm in wrong section. Gun has a pre ww1 commercial frame, no stock lug, 5 digit serial, dwm toggle, all those parts match. Top is a 41 nazi marked and obviously different serial to frame, no attempt to force match. I think the barrel holds the key to who reworked. No 8.81, no serial, just the proofs below. Gun is reblued but looks like a rework facility and not Bubba. Small parts don't match (takedown, hold open, trigger bar, toggle pin). Parts that match include sideplate in commercial fashion, both sections of toggle, numbered underside, and trigger. Grips appear to be repro.

Anyone recognize the barrel proofs?
Hoping they tell me if this is legit type of rework or pieced together shooter?
Thanks in advance,
Diehard

I want to know the source of this statement.
The source is me, but I can walk you through it.

The Circle "КК" markings show up on lots of stuff, including a lot of reworked WW2 era German and Soviet stuff. It is almost certainly a Bulgarian quality control marking, perhaps "Quality Controller No.10" (Контролер по Качеството?). It often shows up with the Star "ЗТК" (or ВТК). The ЗТК is in the same style as the Soviet ОТК (Отдел Технического Контроля), so I assume it is of similar function.

The "КК" is very common on M91/38 (a made up collector name) which are post-WW2 Bulgarian cutdowns of old WW1 era Russian Mosins. These were initially believed by many to be Czech.

German GrW34 reworked by Bulgaria. I am unsure if the ПР-П-51г is a 1951 rework date or the Bulgarian model designation. КК10 and ЗТК marked.

P38 magazine. These are probably scrubbed, not new manufacture. The Spreewerk P.38 book incorrectly identifies these as Austrian.

SVT40 magazines. The Bulgarians received a number of 1943/44 AVT40s from the Russians and reworked them. The magazines were scrubbed and marked with "КК" inspections. This one is КК22 but КК10 are also common.

Awesome info, wow! OK, so if the barrel is the only part really added and added by Bulgaria, then it was mostly likely reworked there, correct assumption? Is there any way of knowing if it was reworked between '42-45, or just postwar. Newest part appears to be the 41 top. My guess would be postwar but I'm asking.
Thanks again,

Correct. Its all post war Bulgarian work, dating from the late 1940s through the early 1950s.
