This is my first Sauer and I am very impressed with the workmanship. What do you suggest in cleaning the finish--I tried a small amount of Flitz and it seemed too abrasive. Any suggestions are appreciated!

The most used method is OOOO steel wool and some light oil to remove light surface rust/oxidation.Applied carefully it will not remove blueing. Maybe it's the pictures, but, yours looks fine to me!!

I just use regular gun oil, i.e. Hoppes or CLP and clean it very well, have found that makes a world of differece mnost of the time...

less is better than more...
